We're going to start by going through the interface so I'm just going to get factory talk view loaded and I'll take the machine edition and I will just take a new application and give it some kind of Dum-Dum name and create it and that should take about 10 15 seconds for it to crunch and figure out how to create this new project.

Then we should populate our explorer on the left and get to a point where we can open up our main display and start looking around.

What we're going to really be focusing on here is if you go into objects this is where most of our controls and displays are going to come from.

You know if we're just doing drawings if we want to do arcsin ellipses free hand free remember from Seymore they had what squares rectangles circles and triangles I think well factory talk view studio you know look they've got rounded rectangles wedges poly lines polygons you know all kinds of drawing tools so if you want to get in here and recreate the Mona Lisa you could probably do it pushbuttons you know you've got all your different kinds of pushbuttons plus a few extra ones that you didn't have in Seymour because this really is a more robust development environment even if it's a little less stable and a lot harder to work with.

But let's say I just double click on machines and you know look what pops up I've got some little clip art kind of drawings of augers.

Well here I've got two whole things full of tanks so if I really wanted to draw a tank and I could put some animation inside of this cutaway view here and that's kind of the idea that I had with my rectangle inside a rectangle and the last section.

But you can see there's actually some pretty complex drawings in here throughout this library pipes you know all kinds of things in these libraries that you could just really copy one of these things out.

So if I just click on it and hit Control C and only close these to get them out of my way come back in here to my main and just hit Control V.

Other than that these are some keys that we're going to use a little bit so these magnifying glasses here are yours zoom in and zoom out.

And when we're addressing things up and trying to get them precise We're going to be using those quite a bit obviously control C and control V are always your friends but no less in this application.

Well here we have a button that takes us to a transfer utility.

So whenever we're ready to send this to a panel assuming we've got that panel that's already connected here it will show up in this little menu and all we have to do is select the exported runtime file which would be an empty our file and hit download and it'll send it straight to that panel which is really cool.

And another thing we have is now that we've got this display and we say well I want to test it.

And the nice thing about this above and beyond Seymore is that you know we'll actually be able to communicate with our APRC program and see it running.

The only bad side of this is there's no demo software available which is why you don't have a copy of this on your virtual machine.
